William BAYLESS, of Browns Valley, died in Culver Hospital on Saturday morning following a major operation after an illness of 3 weeks. Mr. Bayless was the son of John and Mary Bayless and was born June 18, 1857. His first wife was Mary Miles and to them was born: N. Ary Bayless and Roy, deceased; John W. Bayless of Browns Valley and Guy N. Bayless of El Paso, Illinois Feb 7, he married Mrs. Emma Dalton who died March 18, same year. He was a member of Freedom Church where funeral services were held on Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. Mr. Skelton, pastor of the Browns Valley Baptist Church. He was a brother of Luna Bayless. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Glascock attended the funeral. - kbz
