Beach - Nettie Jett

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 19 February 1897

Nettie Jett Beach, wife of Samuel Beach, died at their home in New Richmond Tuesday at midnight from that dreadful disease tuberculosis, after three months of suffering. She was thirty two years and nine months old, being born May 23, 1864, near Lafayette.  When nine years of age, she suffered the loss of her mother. Soon thereafter her father moved to Wingate where Nettie and her sister, Millie, grew to womanhood. She was married to Sam J. Beach in 1883, who was long a resident of this city. She was a true Christian, a member of the New Richmond M. E. Church, of which denomination she had been a member since her 14th year. She left a host of friends, a husband, a sister and two sons, Leslie, ten years and Arthur, five years of age, to mourn her loss. The funeral took place at the New Richmond M. E. Church at ten a.m., today conducted by Rev. M. H. Appleby, of North Indianapolis. Interment was at Wingate Cemetery. - thanks so very, very much to S.
