Crawfordsville - Merlin Beam, 16, Waynetown youth who was accidentally shot in the temple Monday when a revolver in the hands of a playmate was discharged is dead at Culver Union Hospital here. The bullet lodged in the brain.

Waynetown, Jan 30 - Funeral services for Merlin Beam who died at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville yesterday, will be held at the home here at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Cletis Brown, pastor of the Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery.
