Services for Dr. Louis W. Bean, 68, of Centralia, Ill., will be Wednesday at 11 at the Centralia First Baptist Church. He is the father of Mrs. Martha Weinanard of St. Joseph.
In 1974 Dr. Bean, a native of Crawfordsville, Ind., retired after serving 28 years as pastor of Centralia First Baptist Children's Home in Centralia.
In addition to his daughter and son-in-law, Dr. E.E. Weinand, surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Bush Bean; two sons, the Rev. William (Bill) Bean, Long Beach, Cal., and Dr. John Bean, Liberty Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Neil Bowling, Indianapolis and eight grandchildren.
Dr. Bean died Sunday morning at a hospital in Virginia, Minn., following a brief illness. The Irving funeral home of Centralia is in charge of the arrangements. – thanks to Kim H
