Mildred Lo9uise Beard, 83 of Crawfordsville died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Culver Union Hospital. The former Waynetown resident was a graduate of Fairmount HS in Illinois and member of the Waynetown United Methodist Church and Waynetown Rebekah Lodge 551. She was born Dec 10, 1911 at Fairmount to Charles V. and Etta Anders Shipps. She married Ralph M. Beard on April 22, 1929. He died June 17, 1977. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Mary Helen Heath Beard of Speedway and formerly of Montgomery County; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A son, Paul, two brothers and a sister are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cramer-Shoemaker FUneral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Ed Maurer officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today - kbz
