Waynetown - Ralph M. Beard, 68, Waynetown who farmed in Montgomery and Fountain counties for more than 40 years, died today in Carman Nursing Home at Crawfordsville, where he had been a resident since early May. He rtired in 1964 and moved here. He held memberships in Wingate Msonic Lodge and Waynetown Odd Fellows. Born Oct 22, 1908 in CHampaign County, Ill, he was the son of Carl and Cora Connett Beard. He was married April 22, 1929 to Mildred SHipps of Fairmount, Ill. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Donald of Speedway; two brothers, Cecil of Ogden, Ill and Russell of Homer, Ill and two grandsons. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Thomas Funeral Home here - kbz
