B. Frank Beck, 76 years old father of Mrs. Fred Kelly of this city, and one of the best known citizens of Owen Twp died at his home in Sedalia at 7:10 o'clock Friday morning. He had been ill 10 days with heart disease. Mr. Beck had resided in Clinton County many years, being engaged in farming during the active years of his life. He was a member of the Christian Church having held membership in the congregation at Burlington for 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic order, belonging to the Middlefork Lodge of Knights Templar. He was born Sept 6, 1840 in Boone County a son of Stephen and Charity (Harvey) Beck. He was married to Miss Alice Shaffer in 1872. The widow survives with four children, Mrs. Jane Gray of Rossville, Mrs. Fred Kelley of Darlington, Charles Beck of Ottowa and Frank Beck of Kokomo. The funeral was held from the residence in Sedalia Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. ED Salkeld of Frankfort. The Middlefork KT served as escort. Burial was at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. - kbz
