NEW ROSS – Ernest J. Beck died Tuesday night at his home 1 ½ miles northeast of New Ross. Mr. Beck was the son of Perry and Sarah Frances Meadows Beck. He married Mable Mary Clifton who preceded him in death June 7, 1966. Mr. Beck was affiliated with Standard Oil for many years. He returned to his farm in 1938 where he lived until his death. He served overseas during WWI. He is survived by two daughters, Donna and Norma Beck, and two half-brothers, Clair Dean of Lebanon and Jewell R. Dean of Ft. Myers, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, two half-brothers and a sister. Services will be at the Russell and Hitch Funeral Home at Lebanon at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. John Servies will officiate. Burial will be at the Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. - typed by Chris M.
