Beck - Lucy

Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock Lucy, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Beck, died at the family residence on East Market Street with consumption. Miss Beck was born and raised in our midst and her lovable nature gained for her many near and dear friends. She graduated from the city high school with honors in 1883. Last summer she went to Denver in search of health but seemed to derive no benefit from the mountain air and returned home only a few weeks ago. Throughout the lingering illness she manifested a patient and Christian spirit and was fully prepared to enter upon the life beyond. Funeral services at the residence at 9 o’clock Friday morning. Interment at Oak Hill.
