Mary E. Beck, an aged and well known resident of Montgomery County died at her home south of Linnsburg Sunday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock after an illness of about three months. A complication of diseases incident to old age, caused her demise. Funeral services will be held from the ME Church at Mace at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning and burial will be made there. Mary E. Weaver was born in Montgomery County in 1836 and was 75 years 10 months and 3 days old when death came. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malen Weaver and was married Aug 14, 1853 to Jackson J. Beck. To them 5 children were born who survive. They are :Calvin Beck, Crawfordsvillle; Mrs. Emma Hobson, Williams, Ind; John Beck, Linnsburg; William Beck, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Charles McVey, Newcastle. Mrs. Beck was a member of the South Christian Church for a number of years. - kbz
