Mrs. Cantha C. Bee died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at 404 east Jefferson street from dropsy and other complications after an illness of some six months. Mrs. Bee was born in Putnam county on August 31, 1857, the daughter of Daniel and Melvina Shilling and was married on October 23, 1879, to John Henry Bee. Mrs. Bee was highly respected by a wide circle of friends. She was a member of the Methodist church of Bloomington and was esteemed to an active church worker. She is survived by her husband and by five children. Mrs. Florence Powell and Mrs. Beulah Miller of Indianapolis, Mrs. Mark Ellis of Crawfordsville, and Otto Bee and Leo Bee of Crawfordsville, and by four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Mark Ellis, 818 south Washington street, at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon and burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery. - thanks to Kim H
