A message was received last evening by the Eagles and POS of A announcing the death in Phoenix, Ariz. of Louis D. Beecher of this city who had gone west on account of failing health. Mr. Beecher left this city about a year ago going to Illinois, then to Kansas and later to Arizona. Deceased was a resident of Crawfordsville for many years and had many friends. For a time he prospered in the poultry business and later conducted a grocery in the east part of the city. He was a man with a fund of humor and was well liked. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Bessie and two sons, Frank B. and Herschel. The remains will be brought to the city for burial, the funeral arrangements to be announced later. - thanks to S
