ZIONSVILLE – Albert Benge, 71, Zionsville, formerly of Jamestown and New Ross, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday in Winona Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been in failing health a month. Mr. Benge farmed all of his adult life. Born in Kentucky, he was married there in 1920 to Martha Barnard. She survives along with four sons, Virgil and George of Jamestown, Henry of New Ross, and Sam of Elizaville; four daughters, Eva Sullivan of Elizaville, and Sally Copenhaver, Nancy Stone, and Mary Alice McCullough, all of Indianapolis; several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Walker Funeral Home at Jamestown. Friends may pay their respects there. – jlr
