Jamestown -- Mrs. Martha Benge, a former Jamestown resident who had moved to Zionsville died at 4:20 a.m. Thursday in Witham Hospital at Lebanon. She had suffered from leukemia for 12 years. Mrs. Benge was born Jan 7 1903 near London KY to John and Martha Barnard. She married Albert Benge in 1920. Mr. Benge died in Oct 1969. Mrs. Benge was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodsit Church. Survivors include 4 duaghters, Mrs. Eva Sullivan of Elizaville, Mrs. Sally Copenhaven, Mrs. Nancy Stone and Mrs. Mary Alice McCullough all of Indianapolis; four sons, Virgil and George of Jamestown, Henry of New Ross and Sam of Elizaville; several grandch and great grandch.
