Mrs. Ethel Rose BIRCHFIELD, 64, died Monday Jan 2 at Culver Hospital after an illness of four weeks and suffering a stroke on Dec 23. Mrs. Birchfield was a member of the Spanish American War Auxiliary WSCS and the home economics clubs of Wesley and First Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Martz of Crawfordsville; a son, Emory F. Birchfield of Crawfordsville; a brother Emory Charters of Darlington; a step brother, Roy McClure of Waveland; 9 grandchildren; one great grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held by the Rev. Harold Hotchkiss with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
