Edith M. Birdsong, 75, of 407 Wilson Avenue, died Sunday in her home. Her memberships included Fremont Street Baptist Church. She was born July 2, 1917 at Byron, Ark, to Charlie and Gracie Neal. Her husband, Thedous "Arky" Birdson preceded her in death in 1966. Survivors include two sons, Richard C. of Crawfordsville and Melvin G. of Plant City, Fl; one daughter, Linda Gradl of St. Petersburg, FL; one brother, Geren Neal of Viola, Ark; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. One son, Donnie M, one daughter, Velma Jewell and two brothers preceded her in death. Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel H. Aldrich officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
