Darlington - George L. Black, 65, caretaker for the cemetery of St. James Lutheran Church northeast of here, died early Thursday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. Born March 9, 1900, near Darlington, the son of Albert M. and Lillian Ray Black. He was never married. He had been a member of the St. James Lutheran Church many yaers. The only survivors are cousins who include Homer Endicott of Darlington, Charles Endicott of Shannondale, Vern Faust of Kokomo and Glen Faust of Frankfort. A sister, Margaret, preceded him in death in 1959. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home in Darlington with Rev. John C. Stacy and David Barnet in charge. Burial in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Darlington after 4 p.m. Friday.
