Mrs. Goldie BLACK, 56, of Waveland died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Tuesday Aug 15, 1961 after being a patient for one day. Born March 5, 1905 at Athens, Illinois she was the daughter of John and Ellen Smith Williams. On Sept 15, 1930 she was married to Marion W. Black in Springfield, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Black lived in Indianapolis and Olney and Noble, Illinois before moving to Waveland in 1958. They attended the Waveland Baptist Church. Survivors besides the husband include a daughter, Mrs. William W. White of Waveland; a brother, Arthur Williams of Athens, Ill; a half brother Herbert Jordan of Pekin, Illionis and 3 grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. William Grimes, Waveland Baptist Church officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. - transcibed by kbz
