David W. Blacketer, 77, of Bloomingdale, d. at 6:30 a.m. Monday (Aug 26, 1956) at the Britton Nursing Home in Rockville. David Blacketer was born Jan12, 1879 son of James & Emmeline Shoaf Blacketer. Surviving are two sond, Pearl of Kingman RR1 and David of St. Jose, Idaho, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Massey of Veedersburg and Mrs. Ethel Hoke of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hubbard of Shepardsville, Mrs. Artie Ellis of Detroit and 17 grandchildren. The body is at the Branson Funeral Home in Rockville where services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Riffle Howard officiating. Burial will be in Shepardsville Cemetery. - kbz

David W. Blacketer, a retired coal miner died Sunday at 6:30p.m. at Britton Nursing Home, Rockville where he had been a patient for 1 year and 7 months. He was 77. He was born in Parke County 1-12-1879 son of James and Emmaline Shoaf Blacketer. He had lived near Bloomingdale. He is survived by two sons, Pearl of Kingman and David of St. Jose, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Massey, Veedersburg and Mrs. Ethel Hoke of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hubbard of Shepherdsville and Mrs. Artie Ellis of Detroit MI; and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Branson Funeral Home, Rockville with burial in Sherpherdsville Cemetery. - kbz
