Waynetown - Charles A. Blackford was found dead in a field on his farm near here Monday afternoon apparently victim of heart trouble. Mr. Blackford had been in failing health for the past year. He went to his farm Monday afternoon and when he failed to return home for his supper, his son, Ariel, started in search of him, finding his father's body in the field. Deceased was born Feb 2, 1858 near Waynetown, the son of John and Elizabeth Knox Blackford. He was married in March 1888 to Emma Brown. His entire life was spent in Montgomery County. Surviving are the widow, two sons, Ariel and Gilbert; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Smith of Danville and Mrs. Orville Wendell of Wallace and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services wer eheld this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Waynetown Baptist Church, Rev. Cletis Brown officiating. Interment at Waynetown Cemetery - kbz
