COLEMAN BLANKENSHIP

Coleman Blankenship died at 11:45 Friday morning of cancer of the neck at his home on West Market Street, Crawfordsville. There will be a short service at the home at 9 o’clock Sunday morning and another service at Liberty Church at 11 o’clock conducted by Rev. Francis with interment in Liberty Cemetery. Decedent was a son of Joel and Hannah Blankenship, born Nov 6, 1852, in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He married Annioa Todd in Kentucky April 10, 1873. The widow and six children survive: Mrs. Corda Adam of Lebanon; John of Veedersburg; LJ, Elmer, Virgil and Lizzie of Crawfordsville. Surviving sisters are: Mrs. Elizabeth Vansandt of Crawfordsville; Dicy Mercer of Kansas and James Blanketship a brother in Kentucky. There are six great grandchildren. He numbered many friends. They may view the body Saturday evening and until 8 o’clock Sunday morning. - transcribed by kbz
