Roachdale -- Mrs. Laura Alice BLAYDES 80, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health 10 years. Born March 25, 1882, in Indiana, she was the daughter of Thomas and Henrietta McClanahan Ball. She married Ol Blaydes Dec 25, 1906 (smudged). He preceded her in death. Mrs. Blaydes was a member of the Haw Creek Church of Christ and Roachdale OES. She spent most of her life in this community. Surviving are 4 sons: Roy; Ray; James; Robert; two daguhters, Mrs. Hazel Fitzsimmons and Mrs. Eva Hicks; a brother Johnny Ball of Casagrande, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 5 greats. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Perkin's Funeral Home. Burial in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.. Tuesday. - kbz
