John P. Biddle, Sr, one of the pioneer citizens of Montgomery County died at the home of his daughter, northeast of Waynetown last Tuesday afternoon at the extreme old age of 87 years. Mr. Biddle was one of the best known and highly esteemed citizens in the county.  A man of pure character, amiable and unselfish to a fault, he had gathered about him a large circle of warm friends who are sorely grieved at his death. The funeral occurred Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Trotter officiating. The interment took place at the Waynetown Masonic cemetery. – kbz
