Mrs. Vernice I. Biggs of Attica, formerly of Veedersburg, age 70, died Thursday afternoon, July 2, in Williamsport Community Hospital. She was born in Veedersburg, September 11, 1910, the daughter of Roy and Carrie King Haas.

  She first married Gilbert Bever, who died in 1960. In 1969, she married Robert Biggs, who died in 1971. A charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Attica Eagles Lodge, she was also a member of the Union of Retail Clerks and for 28 years was a clerk at the Grab-It-Here store in Veedersburg.

  Survivors include her mother of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Deloris Moore of Crawfordsville; two sons, Milo Bever of Covington and Lewis Bever of West Point; three sisters, Marie Rennick and Laura Dodrill, both of Attica, and Maxine Fix of Veedersburg; a brother, Benny Haas of Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  A daughter, Susie Lamie, died in 1971.

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Maus Chapel in Attica with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
