Blanche Black, 78, of 1609 Lafayette Road and formerly of Waynetown died at 4 p.m. Monday at the Williamsburg healthcare Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Black was retired from the Holiday Inn at Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and Rebekah Lodge. She attended schools in Pulaski County, Ky. She was born on Dec 17, 1917 to Rennie Hebu and Nettie Florence McCrackin Black in Pulaski County, Ky. She is survived by one brother, Earl Black of Peoria, Ill; three nephews and two nieces. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Ed Maurer officiatnig. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society - kbz
