Evelyn E. Blacker, 79, 108 E. Chestnut St, died Monday in Culver Union Hospital. She had been a patient in the Ben Hur Skilled Unit. She was a beauty operator from 1956-1970 in her home and owned the Three Sisters Beauty Salon. She was graduated from Marinella Beauty College at Chicago and Lafayette Beauty Academy. Mrs. Blacker was born Aug 2, 1905 at Jonesboro, Ill, a daughter of Charles and Laura Fox Houseman. SHe was married at Paris, Ill on Jan 30, 1936 to Clyde H. Blacker. He preceded her in death Jan 18, 1963. She is survived by a daughter, Delores Darlene Blacker of Crawfordsville and two sisters, Clara Cates of Anna, Ill and Ola Peterson of Dongola, Ill. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Voss officiating, interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-5 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
