WAYNETOWN, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Grace Bolen, 70, of Waynetown Route 2, died unexpectedly at 7:05 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 4, 1969) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where she had been a patient one day. She had been in ill health several years. Born March 3, 1899, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of William T. and Mary Ellen Rogers Wilkinson. She married Forrest Bolen in Veedersburg. She had lived in this area since her marriage. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the New Richmond Order of Eastern Star, and the Ladies Aid Society of Liberty Chapel. She attended school at Hillsboro. She is survived by her husband; a son, Max Bolen, of El Paso, Texas; two foster son, Harold Eugene Land of Crawfordsville and Willard Allen of Waynetown; one foster daughter, Mrs. Mildred Cheatham of Waveland Route 1; seven grandchildren;. two stepgrandchildren; and one stepgrandson. Also, two sisters, Mrs. E. A. Lamen of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Mable Taylor of Crawfordsville Route 4, and a brother, E. L. Wilkinson of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by a foster son, two sisters and a brother. Services. will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
WAYNETOWN -- Mrs. Grace Bolen, 71, of Rt. 2 Waynetown, died Saturday night at Culver Hospital at 7:05. She was born March 3, 1899 in Fountain County, a daughter of William T. and Mary Ellen Rogers Wilkinson. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church at Waynetown, the New Richmond OES, and the Liberty Chapel Ladies Aid Society. She was married to Forrest Bolen at Veedersburg on Dec. 12, 1917. Survivors include the husband; a son, Max of El Paso, Tex.; two foster sons, Harold Eugene Land of Crawfordsville, and Willard Allen of Waynetown; a foster daughter, Mrs. Mildred Cheatham of near Waveland; two sisters, Mrs. E. A. Lambdin of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Mabel Taylor of near Crawfordsville; a brother, O. L. Wilkinson of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a foster son, two sisters, and a brother. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here, with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
