Mrs. Ruth BONWEL, 81, died Thursday afternoon at Carmen Nursing home in Crawfordsville after a long illness. Mrs Bonwell was a member of the nEw market meth Church, New Market Women's Club, WSCS, DAR and OES at Ladoga. She was a graduate of Colfax HS. She was born at St. Joseph, Ill May 1, 1887 a daughter of Frank & Charlotte (Bowers) Hoss. She married Earl Bonwell Feb 16, 1910. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Robert of Crawfordsville and David of New Market; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Etter of New Market, Mrs. Bee Blaser of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Jack Stallings of Blanchester Ohio; 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and and two sisters. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Reeves Funeral Home here with Rev Dale Payne and Rev Frank Hoss officiating. Burial in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz

NEW MARKET – Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Reeves Funeral Home for Mrs. Ruth Bonwell with Rev. Dale Payne of the New Market United Methodist Church officiating. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were Ed Campbell of Crawfordsville, William Main of Indianapolis, Isaac Hoss of Lafayette and Dennis Bonwell, Robert Sayler and Bill Etter of New Market. Mrs. Ruth Himes served as organist. Burial was in the family lot in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. Mrs. Bonwell died Thursday at Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville after a long illness.
