Veedersburg -- Lawrence Isley Booe, 51, died Sunday night in his home on Rt 3, Veedersburg, following an illness of 5 months. He had been employed as an auto mechanic by GR Pittman Auto Co of Hillsboro. He was born Jan 3, 1915 at Veedersburg son of Balser and Effie Alston Booe. He married Lillian Knowles on Aug 7, 1941. The survivors are his father, the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Shoaf of Hillsboro and Janet Sue and Mary Beth at home; a son, Lawrence Richard of Clinton SHerman AFB, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hay of Danville, Ill; Mrs. Dorothy Rasmussen of Williams Bay, Wisc; and mrs. Betty Reynolds of Attica; three brothers, Russell of Attica; Orville of Hillsboro and Gene of Peoria, Ill; and two grandchildren. Mr. Booe was a member of the First EUB Church of Veedersburg, Masonic Lodge NO 491, and the Low 12 Club at Wallace. The funeral will be at 2p. m. Wednesday in the First EUB Church in Veedersburg wtih Rev. Harold Morrical officiating. Burial will bein Christian Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sever Mortuary of Veedersburg Tuesday from 2-4 p. m. and 7-9 p. m. Masonic memorial rites will be Tuesday at 8 p. m. - kbz
