WAYNETOWN – The body of Mrs. Lulu Booe, 83, who died Thursday in New Port Richey, Fla., will be cremated and the ashes placed in Thomas Cemetery at Newport. Mrs. Booe was the widow of John Austin Booe. They resided in Waynetown following their marriage and again when he installed the water works system in 1950. She was born Feb. 6, 1878, in Eugene, Ind., the daughter of Jerome B. and Ruth Ann Thomas. She was a descendant of one of Vermillion County’s pioneer families. Besides her husband, Mrs. Booe was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a nephew, Dr. F. Dale Johnson of Waynetown. A member of the Christian Church, Mrs. Booe was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include several cousins. – jlr
