Kingman Ind -Thomas E. Booe, 20, of Kingman R 2 died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday when his van went off Indiana Route 234, 5 miles west of Kingman and struck a tree. He had a basal skull fracture. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Keller, sister and brother-in-law of the victim, were visiting from Rhode Island and were in an auto in front of the Booe van. They heard the crash and went back, finding Mr. Booe had been thrown from the vehicle. The van had been westbound on Ind 234, went off the right side of the road hit the tree, overtruened and landed on the wheels back on the roadway. Fountain County Sheriff Art Creua, coroner Walter Kinser and State Trooper Lloyd Jennings assisted at the scene. Born Nov 1, 1952, in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Marion C. and Margaret Braden Booe. Mr. Booe worked for his father at Coal Creek Sand & Gravel Company. He also was a self-employed television repairman. A 1970 graduate of Covington High he also graduated from ITT in Indianapolis in 1972 as an electrical engineering technician. He had taken a correspondence course from Los Angeles, Calif. He attended the First Christian Church at Kingman and was active in Future Farmers of America and 4-H for 10 years specializing in electricity. Survivors include his parents of Kingman Rt 2; two brothers, Melvin and David both of Kingman; three sisters, Mrs. Lee (Gail) Grubbs of Huntsville, ala; Mrs. Jesse (Syndee) Bond of Hacienda Heights, Calif; Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Keller of Coventry, RI; and 15 nieces and nephews. His grandparents preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.. Tuesday at Watson Funeral Home in Cayuga, with Rev. Larry McMillan of 1st Christian Church in Oxford officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. - such a sad one - kbz
