FLAVIUS JOSEPHUS BOOHER

Source: Darlington Herald newspaper, Darlington, Montgomery County, Indiana Friday, 21 June 1918

Flavius Josephus Booher was born near St. James Lutheran Church Sept 9, 1854 and died at his home at New Ross June 8, 1918. He was married to Nancy m. Davis June 28, 1883. Two sons, Rollie M. and Basil V. were born to them. He was for almost 40 years a member of the above named church. His father the Rev. Nathan Booher and mother, Margaret have preceded him to the better world. Besides his two sons, he leaves one sister, Mrs. Ann Grimes of Kewanna and two brothers, Nathan A. Booher of Indianapolis and Isaac Booher of Lafayette and one grandchild, Thelma. For 35 years he lived there and no encomium is needed as to his character as he is known to everyone near him. He was honest to the utmost and a good father, neighbor and friend to all. During his long illness he was patient and always greeted his callers with a smile. He was perfectly reconciled to go to his final home. -- kbz
