Darlington - Mrs. Ida Pearl Booher, 83, who lived in and near Darlington all her life died Monday night in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient 9 days. She lived the last 20 months at Westbrook Nursing Home there. Born July 21, 1887 at Whitestown in Boone County, she was a daughter of George and Hannah lamb Abney. She married Reuben E. Booher on Jan 10, 1910 near Darlington; he died Dec 21, 1954. Surviving are two sons, Alonzo F of Lafayette and Carl B. of Darlington; six grandchildren, Mrs. Lavern Glick of Edison NJ; Mrs. Clyde T. Getchel of Terre Haute, Mrs. Paul Scuylinski of Bloomington, Linda Lee Booher at home; Mrs. Charles Murdock of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Phil Dant of Richmond; 5 great grandchildren and two brothers, William Walters of Coral Gables, Fl and Chester Abney of Mankato, Mn. Three sisters and a brother are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bright-Burkhart Funeral Home in Darlington with Rev. James C. Stacy officiating and burial iN St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm. Wednesday. - kbz
