DARLINGTON — Mrs. Louise E. Booher, 56, of 406 S. Franklin St., died Thursday afternoon in St. Eizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. She had been in failing health several months. She was a native of Montgomery County, Kentucky, born May 28, 1914 to N. B. and Alta Davis Payne. She attended school in Waynetown and married Carl Booher in February, 1940, at Whitestown. Mrs. Booher had been a resident here since. She was employed five years at Kells Grocery and three years at Vermillion Cleaners and last was employed at Bright-Burkhart Funeral Home here. Mrs. Booher was a member of the Home Demonstration Club. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Murdock of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Phil Dant of Richmond; her mother, Mrs. Alta Payne of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Glenn Deckard of Ladoga and Mrs. Harry Steele of Crawfordsville; a brother, Russell Payne of Linden; two grandchildren and several nieces. Her father preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bright-Burkhart Funeral Home in Darlington, with Rev. John C. Stacy the minister and burial in Lutheran Cemetery near here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.--waw
