Hillsboro --Mrs. Mary Jane Bounnell, 89, a former resident of Hillsboro died in a Houston, TX hospital saturday night. she had been ill only a few days. Mrs. Bounnell had resided in a Houston Nursing Home for the past two years. She had moved from Hillsboro to Oklahoma City OK in 1948 and to Houstin in 1966. She was born Sept 1, 1880, to Levi and Elizabeth Harding Bever, south of Hillsboro. She married Dr. E.G. Bounnell on Juy 2, 1907. He preceded her in death in February 1948. Also preceding her were six brothers and a sister. Mrs. Bounnell attended nurses training at St. Louis. She was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church, Veedersburg Chapter DAR and Fern Chapter OES. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Bowling, Houston and Mrs. Bernice DeFlorio, Villa Park, ill; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Neal, Crawfordsville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be conducted by Rev. James Whitaker at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Crumley-William Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. -- typed by kbz
