Harry “Snook” Francis Bowe, city native and former varsity basketball player here, died Saturday night in Boward General Hospital at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Bowe, 64, was admitted to the hospital two weeks before his death. The deceased graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1924, and was president of the senior class at the time. He was retired from the General Box Co. in Denville, N.J., after over 40 years service. Born on Aug. 23, 1904, he was the son of George and Bele Bowe. Survivors include the widow; a son, George Francis Bowe, a New York City policeman; a brother, George Miller of Crawfordsville, and two sisters, Agnes Gugallitto and Mrs. Jesse Lovell, both of Chesterfield. Services are set for Thursday morning in St. Boniface Church in Bellmore, N.Y. The body will be at the Bellmore Funeral Home until the services. – jlr
