Mrs. Cynthia J. Bowers, a teacher in the New Market schools died on Saturday of apoplexy at the home of her sister-in-law,. Mrs. Carrie Wray in Crawfordsville. She had gone to that city to attend a meeting at the Community House. Her maiden name was Wray and she taught in the Waveland schools in 1896-7. The other teachers for that year were: George L. Guy, Eunice B. Little, Laura Spencer, Anna Anderson and Allie May Bland. - kbz
