Elizabeth Lorinda Bowers, 94, Ben Hur Nursing Home, died Wednesday afternoon in the nursing home. Mrs. Bowers was a church organist in the Montgomery County area for several years. She was educated in Logansport schools and studied pipe organ under Sir J. Benton Tipton at Albany, N.Y. She was a member of First Baptist Church, charter member of New Market Women's Club and Athens Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Born in Logansport on Oct. 26, 1881, she was the daughter of James A. and Emily Jane Day. She married William A. Bowers in 1903. He died in 1953. Surviving are three grandchildren, Bill Terry, Virginia Shuman and Betty Hopkins. Mrs. Bowers only daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Ruth) Terry, died in 1967. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.--waw
