Linden – Mrs. Cleo Marie (Branigan) Bowles, 68 of Linden died in Logansport State Hospital at 5:45 Sunday just 34 days after the death of her husband. She had been ill several years and in serious condition two weeks. She lived in the Linden community 16 years and before that at Romney, Kirkpatrick and Clarks Hill. She was born at Kirkpatrick and attended the school there and was married in 1919 in Crawfordsville to James N. Bowles who died Sept 10.  She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Bowles of Lafayette and Mrs. Lowell Stewart of Crawfordsville; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Woods, Miss Harriet Branagin and Mrs. Robert Briney all of Frankfort and Mrs. Harold Coopman of Clarks Hill and a brother, Ralph Branagin of Frankfort. - kbz

Rites At Linden For Mrs. Cleo Bowles-
LINDEN- Funeral services for Mrs. Cleo Marie Bowles were conducted at 10:30 a.m. last Wednesday at Helms’ Funeral Home here with Rev. Willis Syphers officiating. Mrs. Forest Edwards severed as organist. Burial was in the New Richmond Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Briney of Frankfort, Harold Coopman of Clarks Hill, Hubert Switzer and Don Fugate of Linden and Sonny Coopman and Ralph Coopman of Lafayette. Mrs. Bowles died Oct. 14 in a Logansport hospital.
