CLARKS HILL - Guy L. Bowles, 67, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bowles Convalescent Home here after having been in ill health the last four and a half years. He had been engaged in farming and the garage business most of his life. His wife is manager of the convalescent home where he died. Mr. Bowles was a son of Richard and Mary Jane McBride Bowles and was born Aug. 15, 1901 in Clinton County. He was married July 21, 1923 to Laura May Clark. He was a member of the Clarks Hill Christian Church. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Richard W. Peterson of Clarks Hill; two sons, John G. Bowles of Clarks Hill and Richard A. Bowles, manager of Bowles Convalescent Home at Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Raymond West of Frankfort, and four grandchildren. Friends may call at Dickerson Funeral Home in Stockwell after 4 p.m. today. Services are held there at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Dean Ross the minister and burial in Union Cemetery south of Clarks Hill. - typed by Chris M.
