Hillsboro March 7 -- Jacob D. Bowman, 81, life long resident of Jackson Township, in the vicinity of Wallace, died Saturday night, March 5, at 9:50 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edna Gott of Williamsport. Mr. Bowman suffered a paralytic stroke on Wednesday morning and was only conscious for a short time. He was born May 30, 1856 the oldest son of David and Elizabeth Bowman. He was married to Catherine Wilkinson in the fall of 1878 and 11 chidren were born to this union, 7 sons and 4 daughters. The wife, three daughters and one son preceded him in death. He is survived by the following sons; Elliot of Veedersburg; Roy, William and Pearly of Wallace and Charles at Danville, Ill and one daughter, Mrs. Edna Bowman Gott of Williamsport. He also leaves 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
