Marion Bowman died 13 Jan 1945 Marion W. Bowman, 72, of Wingate, died at 11:20 o´clock Saturday night at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville following a month´s illness with complications. Mr. Bowman was born Sept. 16, 1872, near New Ross, the son of Jacob and Priscilla Bowman. He first was married in 1907 to Gladys LINVILLE, who died in 1920. In 1924 he was married to Ora JONES who died four years later. Mr. Bowman was a member of the Wingate Methodist Church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Priscilla CARR of Lafayette, Mrs. Sarah Lee GOBEL of Crawfordsville and Miss Louise Bowman of Belmont, Ill.; two sons, Ferris Bowman, now overseas with the army in the European theater, and Edward Bowman, who is in service in the south Pacific; two brothers, Ross Bowman of Windson [sic], Ill., and Josh of Lafayette, and five grandchildren. The body has been taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gobel 409 Russell Avenue, Crawfordsville. The body will remain there until Tuesday noon when it will be taken to the Teague Funeral home in Wingate for services at 2 o´clock Tuesday afternoon. The Reverend Fletcher of the Wingate Methodist Church will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery at Wingate. - typed by kbz
