Resolutions of Condolence: Castle Hall, Rathbone Lodge, No 232, K of P, August 29, 1905 Whereas, sorrow has entered the home of our brother, Clarence Boyland, whose wife, Edna, died at their home in Brazil, August 12, 1905; therefore be it: Resolved that we recognize the heavy bereavement that has been laid upon our brother and that we extend to him our heartfelt sympathy in this hour of affliction. We appreciate how empty are mere human words of consolation and commend him to the Giver of all comfort. Be it further : Resolved that the charter of this lodge be draped in mourning for 30 days that a copy of these resolutions be sent to our brother, that they be spread upon the minutes of this lodge and that copies be sent to the local papers for publication. Note: Edna F. Dixon and Clarence J. Boyland were married 18 May 1904 in Clay County. She was born May 8, 1876. She is buried at Cottage Hill Cemetery, Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. -- kbz

Edna F. Williams was born at Troy, Indiana May 8, 1877. At the age of 18 she united with the M.E. Church. In December 1894, she married A.V. Dixon. To this union was born two children, one with the husband and father have gone before. May 18, 1904, she was married at Brazil to Clarence Boyland by Rev. L.C. Bently (sic). She died August 12, 1905 at 4 p.m. age 28 years, 3 months 4 days. Funeral services was conducted at the home by Rev. L.C. Bentley (sic). Burial at Cottage Hill Cemetery. - kbz
