Rev. L.F. Galey preached the funeral of Edward S. Boyland at Crawfordsville last Sunday. Mr. Boyland was born April 16, 1862. In November 1889, he married MIss Mary A. Brown at Waveland. To them were born one son and three daughters. He was engaged in the newspaper business until last May when he went to Colorado Springs hoping to regain his lost health but in vain. He was a good man, a member of the ME Church, Odd Fellows, Modern Woodmen and Tribe of Ben Hur. -- kbz

A message was received here last week announcing the death of Ed Boyland formerly of this city. The body was brought here for burial and the funeral took place on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Boyland went from Crawfordsville to Logansport several years ago and remained employed at the printing trade there until failing health obliged him to seek the climate of Colorado. The change failed to give the hoped for benefit, however, and he grew worse until death relieved him. He leaves a wife and three small children. Mr. Boyland was a member of the Tribe of Ben Hur, Modern Woodmen and the Odd Fellows. He was a sober and industrious young man and enjoyed the esteem of all who knew him.

Word has been received here to the effect that Ed Boyland is dying at Colorado Springs, Col. He went there from Logansport some months ago, being a sufferer from consumption, but he continued to fail rapidly. He lived in this city for a number of years and was a printer. He was an industrious young man and had many warm friends in Crawfordsville.
