Booher - Willis H.

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 20 July 1900

Willis H. Booher was born Nov. 27, nine years ago, died July 14, 1900. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Booher. This family seems to have their full share of affliction. George, a hard working blacksmith, was compelled some weeks ago to close his shop and care for his father and mother. Since then the mother has died, the father still requiring his care; and in the midst of this his two children, a bright boy and girl each, were taken with that dread disease, diphtheria, the very mention of which makes a parent’s blood run cold. Willis being much the worse, all was done that could be but of no avail. Sunday morning a few of us followed the remains to Lutheran Cemetery and there laid it to rest. Kind friends sent an abundance of flowers. Afraid to attend, they wished to show their sympathy in this way. We can assure this family they have the sympathy of all in this their sad affliction.
