Darlington – Allen C. Boots, 90, of Darlington died Saturday evening in Home Hospital, Lafayette. A lifelong resident of Montgomery County, he was a retired farmer and livestock trucker. He was married in 1914 to Neva Ward, who died in 1978. Mr. Boots was a member of Darlington United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. He was a 50-year member of Darlington Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two sons, R. Max Boots of Crawfordsville and Maurice J. Boots of Phelps, Wis; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Webster of Lafayette and a sister, Mrs. Eva Williams of Crawfordsville. – kbz
