While the installation services were going on at Delphi on Wednesday of last week, a sad occurrence marred the joy of the occasion. The Lafayette Journal says:” In the morning Mrs. Enoch Bowen, an estimable lady and member of the church, was fatally gored by one of their own cows, and during the absence of her husband at Logansport, and just about the time the church was coming for the installation of their pastor, she died. Of course the sad event cast a gloom over the church and city.
She is buried in the Masonic Cemetery at Delphi, Carroll County
