Colfax, Ind Feb 12 – Mrs. Elizabeth Bowers, 89, died at 9 o’clock Sunday morning at the home of her daughters, Mrs. Martha Peterson, four miles west of Colfax, following an illness since last August. The deceased was born in Montgomery County Nov 4, 1844 the daughter of Lewis and Mary Dunbar, and married Martin Bowers in 1873. She was a member of White Church, near Colfax. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Martha Peterson and Mrs. Ola Peterson, both of Colfax and one son, Robert of Clark’s Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the home of Mrs. Martha Peterson and interment will be in Bowers cemetery. – kbz
