Colfax, Jan 9 – The body of John W. Bowers, 64, was found Saturday morning on the Ross Boots farm west of here in Montgomery County. Bowers had been missing since Sunday night Jan 2. A preliminary report by the Montgomery County coroner stated he had been dead since that time, but the cause of death was not given until a further investigation could be completed. Born in Montgomery County, Bowers was married to Mary Boots, who died in 1934. He was a member of Colfax Methodist Church and Eagles Lodge of Crawfordsville. He had been in ill health for the past two years. Surviving are a son Robert of Beverly Hills, Cal and daughter, Mrs. Marcylia Hudson of Indianapolis.
