Lucinda Bowman, wife of Christopher Bowman, died Saturday night at 11:25 after an illness of some weeks, lacking only a few days of 76 years of age. The greater part of her life was spent on the farm near Shannondale. She with her husband came to Darlington only a few years ago, the better to spend their declining years in quiet rest, as they by their united efforts had saved a competency to allow them to do so. She was buried at the Shannondale Cemetery after funeral service at the church close by. – thanks so much to s for tying this and so many obits for this site
